A.S.S. - 210 Tried & Tested Applications

Example #1
A large oilfield service company tested A.S.S. - 210 in a truck scrubber and compared the results and costs with the competitor scavenger formally used. The truck and scrubber used travelled the same route each day, picking up 7 loads per day of a mixture of water, oil, produced water, at an average of 8000 PPM H2S. The competitor product was used full strength and lasted 30 days travelling the designated route. The A.S.S. - 210 product was diluted, 1 pail of A.S.S. - 210 with 3 pails of water into the truck scrubber. The test truck travelled the same route and the A.S.S. - 210 and water mixture lasted 27 days. The 25% mixture has the potential to save the service company thousands of dollars per year.

Example #2
A small oil company used A.S.S. - 210 to sweeten an oil water mixture to save money, time and trucking costs disposing of sour fluids. The oil company used A.S.S. - 210 on a batch basis to treat sour fluid destined for disposal. The H2S content of the sour fluid was 2000 PPM H2S and the cost of disposal to the closest sour disposal location was $14.00 per cubic metre plus trucking. The client treated the fluid with 1 litre of A.S.S. - 210 per cubic metre of disposal fluid at a cost of approximately $6.00 per cube and disposed of the now sweet fluid at a sweet facility for $3.00 a cubic metre located thirty minutes from their facility.

Example #3
A major oil company client used A.S.S. - 210 to neutralize the H2S contaminated air and vent gases produced when using a high volume vacuum truck to clean a tower containing spent a spent solid H2S scavenger. The oil company mixed 20 litres of A.S.S. - 210 into 1000 litres of water in the vacuum truck tank. The oil company said the contaminated air and solids contained 4000 PPM of H2S. The vacuum truck passed a minimum of 1200 cu. ft. of air per minute for three hours to atmosphere to complete the job. Approximately 216,000 cu. ft. of air was scrubbed of 4000 PPM H2S during the three hours and the vented air was always kept at 0 PPM H2S. The oil company said the resultant water solid scavenger mixture had the consistency of dog food. They were so impressed that they immediately did a second tower attaining the same results.

Example #4
A large service company that owns and operates a fleet of oil tankers and vacuum trucks used A.S.S. - 210 for the first time cleaning 600 litres of sludge contaminated with 100,000 PPM H2S or 10% SOUR SLUDGE. The service company added 20 litres of A.S.S. - 210 to 1000 litres of water in the vacuum truck and then cleaned up the sludge maintaining 0 PPM H2S to atmosphere throughout the job. The same company successfully completed several more jobs using A.S.S. - 210 and are now using the product regularly.

Example #5
A.S.S. - 210 was recently ordered by a well-known service company to be utilized in the cleanup of a small sour oil well blow out. The H2S content of the spewed sour oil water fluid was 7% or 70,000 PPM H2S. Twenty litres of A.S.S.- 210 was added to 1000 litres of water in the vacuum trucks then the H2S contaminated water, oil and dirt was vacuumed up and neutralized in the vacuum truck tanks and hauled to close collection sites. All involved companies were thrilled with the results and the job was completed quickly and successfully.

Example #6
A large BC fluid tanker company was recently engaged to move sour fluid concentrates estimated to be in excess of 50% H2S. Upon completion of the job A.S.S. - 210 H2S neutralizer was ordered to decontaminate the tanker truck so it could haul sweet fluids again. 40 litres of A.S.S. - 210 was added to the makeup water that produces steam. The tanker was steamed for 2.5 - 3 hours and the H2S levels were measured at 0 PPM H2S. Using just steam to decontaminated the atmosphere of a tanker can take in excess of 24 hours of continual steaming.

Example #7
The question is often asked what affect A.S.S. - 210 has on drill fluids. One of the most well-known drill fluid suppliers in Alberta conducted independent tests on A.S.S.- 210 and the results: Quote: “Your fluid did not negatively affect the properties of our gel-chem MUD.”

Example #8
A USA company using A.S.S. - 210 in their service rig circulation and kill fluid measured H2S levels at 300-500 PPM H2S and levels spiked as high as 1200 PPM H2S. They added A.S.S. - 210 at the rate of 1/4 % by volume into 10,000 USA gallons of fluid and the H2S level was reduced to 0 PPM H2S. They were extremely happy with their results. We believe treating fluid with A.S.S- 210 has the potential to protect the vulnerability of coil tubing and wire line strings from H2S.

Example #9
In a West Texas well test, a USA company recently completed an oil well test job using A.S.S. - 210 H2S neutralizer. The well produced 75 barrels of oil per day, 100 barrels of water per day, 90,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day and the well contained 1800 PPM H2S. The well had 5 producing zones of which only one was sour. The well was swabbed to determined where the sour zone was located and a plug was set. The company then mixed one drum (55 US gallons) of A.S.S.- 210 into 130 barrels of 2% KCL water and pushed it into the sour zone. The H2S was reduced to 0-100 PPM H2S for 1.5 days and returned to 1800 PPM H2S after three days of production. The company then went to direct injection down the casing with 13.5 gallons (approximately 51 litres) of A.S.S. - 210 per day and produced to a storage tank to give the production retention time and reduced the H2S to 0 PPM.
